Piešťany is thanks to its position and unique sports infrastructure the paradise for active people. Water sports, swimming, tennis, squash, horse-riding, touring and hiking, bike tourism, parachute jumps, skydiving – it is only the part of offer that you can find here.
Golf
Golf’s area is situated in the northern part of Spa Island. There belongs besides 9 – match play golf course the club house, coffeehouse, golf shop. Form more information click here. 
Tennis
Piešťany is also well known for its tennis tradition. Directly on the Spa Island, in the area of the swimming pool Eva, guests and town visitors can use two tennis courts, which are open seasonally. The courts feature a quality clay surface and are available for spa guests. We are able to provide a professional trainer or sparing partner on request; tennis classes for beginners are also available if required. 
Tennis lovers are also welcome at the Tennis Club Piešťany Spa featuring 13 open courts (11 with clay surface, 2 concrete) and two children’s courts. Apart from outdoor courts, tennis players can also use two indoor courts with artificial surfaces open all year round. For practice, four training walls are also available. The Tennis Club is situated in the town park, close to Spa hotel Park and offers a full range of services including sport equipment, experienced trainers and sparing partners. Tennis courts are not only available for individual guests and Piešťany visitors; we can use them for organizing tennis tournaments with quality services and additional and regeneration services for participants. River Váh and Lake Sĺňava are ideal for water sports, canoeing, yachting, sailing, boating.
Water tank, pond Sĺňava with surface area 4,3 km2 is situated between the town Piešťany and the village Drahovce. 
As the name indicates, it is grateful because of high number of sunny days in year. You find water ski lift; boathouse on the pond or tank and nearby is camping. Around the dam is built twelve-kilometre asphalt route along the dam for pedestrians and also cyclists (through causeway of timber you can cross from May to September, Monday-Friday from 15:00 and at the weekend from 10:00 hrs. to 20:00 hrs.). For sight-seeing cruise at Sĺňava you can start by boat Xénia anchoring at Colonnaded Bridge in Piešťany.
The part of dam is artificial bird’s island, which is protected nature reserve, listed by UNESCO. There occur and nest also rare types of birds, it is nesting site of gull grey. 
Fishing
Váh, dead arm of river behind the Spa Island, Ratnovská zátoka (cove), Horná Streda, Drahovské jazerá (lakes) and water pond Čerenec are paradise for fishermen.

You can enjoy the fresh fish with possibility to catch a fish, trout or carp, directly in the fishpond – it offers the fishpond in Bašovce, restaurant at Peter (telephone 033/774 68 36).

Close to Piešťany (approximately 2 km) in Ratnovská zátoka (cove) at the water pond Sĺňava is situated the specially equipped area with towage lift for water skiing, which is in operation during summer months July and August daily from 10:00 to 18:00 hrs. There is available the water skiing, kneeboard renting, renting of neoprene and beach volleyball.

Tandem parachute jumping
At the airport in the village of Slavnica (near Trencin) you can try tandem parachute jumping from a hight of 4O00 m with an experienced instructor. Free falling lasts about 50 seconds and you reach speeds of up to 200km/hour. More info - www.tandemovyzoskok.sk, +421 903 473 259 
Rafting
Wooden rafts, floats again sail on river Váh as very long ago. Today you can experience the cruise sailing around the scenic colourful niches and nooks of this river with music and pleasant agreeable company. The cruise lasts for approximately 2 hours, it starts near the village Horná Streda, and it ends in Piešťany and is long in total 9 km.

Hiking and walking
The favourite sports activity in the region is hiking and walking. Choose and follow the labelled tourist signs to close Červená veža (Red Tower), Bacchus villa. The most beautiful place of Považský Inovec is Bezovec (743 m). There is built the tourist-sports centre under its peak, which provides the excellent conditions in summer for hiking and touring, in winter time for downhill and cross-country skiing.

Bicycle tourism
Location of Piešťany is interesting for bicycle tourism. Along the Váh arterial road you get to the neighbouring nearest towns: in direction to south to Hlohovec, in direction to north to Nové Mesto nad Váhom. Mountain bike is possible to use also in forest terrain of Považský Inovec. Possibility to rent bikes – directly in the hotel. Winter stadium

Skiing
Ski centre Bezovec offers 5 ski tows and downhill tracks with length from 300 to 600 metres. The innovation is artificial snowing and evening skiing. Fans and lovers of skiing can find in Piešťany all the conditions for water skiing at the lake Sĺňava in Ratnovská zátoka (cove) in summer time, just nip over from Spa Island.
