Reconstruction of EVA Swimming Pool and hotel Slovan (Grand Royal)

Health Spa Piešťany, a.s., and the town of Piešťany have decided to take another step towards strengthening their mutual relationship by cooperating on the renovation of the former pride of the town - hotel Slovan (formerly known as Grand Hotel Royal) and EVA Swimming Pool. The step was agreed upon by the management of Health Spa Piešťany and the mayor of Piešťany Remo Cicutto.
Slovan (Grand Royal) will be restored to its former grandeur. The management decided that a new multifunctional conference center with a capacity of up to 1000 people will be built during the reconstruction process. The parties also discussed possibilities of financing the restoration works. The two solutions being taken into consideration at the moment are finding a strong and reliable investor for a joint enterprise or financing the project from European Union funds.
EVA Swimming Pool will be restored and modernized to be ready to host international swimming competitions again. Since EVA is the only public swimming pool in Piešťany, Health Spa Piešťany and the town are trying to find a solution for the financing of the reconstruction by obtaining funds from the European Union.
Piešťany is aspiring to regain its former glory and the reconstruction of EVA Swimming Pool and hotel Slovan (Grand Royal) is only a continuation of this effort, started off by Health Spa Piešťany through the restoration of hotel Thermia Palace and Irma Health Spa.
