There will be held the jubilee XVth congress of the Company for physiatry, balneology and medical therapeutic rehabilitation (FBLR) on 6th – 7th May in Piešťany spa.
The main organizers are Slovak medical society, Company FBLR and Slovak therapeutic spa Piešťany under the patronage of the General Director PhDr. Milan Kramárik. The President of congress is MUDr. Jaroslav Mikula, medical director of SLK Piešťany.
Over a period of two days there will be given 41 lectures of specialists and experts of Slovakia, Czech Republic and Germany within the scientific program. The participants of conference will be prof. MUDr. Juraj Čelko PhD., MUDr. Janka Zálešáková, the President of European Union of Spas (ESPA), prof. MUDr. Anton Gúth, CSc., doc. MUDr. Jiří Votava, CSc. from the Czech Republic and Dr. István Fluck, President of the Medical Association Danubius Hotels Groups. There is expected the participation of cca 250 specialists and experts from the Slovak and Czech Republic, as well as from Germany and Hungary.
The lectures are oriented towards several appealing and interesting topics – situation of balneology in the EU, present situation in spas and its perspectives, integration of health and family vacation into traditional spas, use of halo-therapy in balneology, balneotherapy and rehabilitation after implantation of total substitute of hip and knee joint, new methods in physical therapy, e.g. extracorporeal shock therapy, distance electrotherapy, vacuum compression therapy.
In the technical professional program the use of balneal-rehabilitation is used in the complex medical program of osteoporosis, vertebral and neurological diseases, the attention will be devoted to children’s issues as well, for example the effect of dynamic sitting position or seat in schools, rehabilitation of child’s patient at dialysis or methodology of SET conception with children. Some lectures will be dedicated to balneology issues of skin (dermal) diseases.
