Legendary Portuguese footballer Eusebio da Silva Ferreira arrived in Piešťany in the afternoon of 23rd October during his four-day stay in Slovakia hosted by Slovak foreign affairs minister, Eduard Kukan.
After a busy programme including a press conference, interviews with journalists, and participation in a student football tournament in Petržalka, he arrived at Piešťany Spa accompanied by a director of the football club Benfico Pinho da Silva to see it and try out the treatments.
He was welcome by the director of the Thermia Palace hotel, Mikuláš Weiss, and after a consultation with Dr. Soňa Žlnayová he was wrapped in hot mud followed by a massage. Eusebio enjoyed the heat pack and said he would like to come to the spa for a longer stay because his knees would need it.
The famous Eusebio da Silva Ferreiro and Mrs. Pinho da Silva were welcome by Mikuláš Weiss.
