Following the TA3 programme last evening, the Company has received several enquiries concerning the intentions of CP Holdings/Danubius Group with regard to the shares in SLKP owned by the City of Piestany. The Company has been authorized by CP Holdings/Danubius Group to release the following statement:
“ Following the announcement by the City Council that it wished to sell it’s shares in SLKP, our group made an offer to purchase these shares at, in our view, a fair and, indeed, generous price and this offer is now under consideration by the Council. Throughout our discussions, we made it clear to the Mayor that our prime objective is to ensure full cooperation between the Company and the City and we are quite happy for the City to remain our partners in the business. However, we respect their decision to sell the shares and the offer we have made reflects the importance of our relationship with the City both in the past and in the future.
Everyone in Piestany will have noticed the huge changes and investments in the spa island which our company has made over recent years, not least in the total refurbishment of Hotel Thermia Palace and Irma Spa. It is true that it takes time to generate profits to provide a proper return on these investments. However, we believe our strategy to improve facilities and standards of operation for the benefit of our guests is the right way forward. We are doing our best to achieve this and hope and expect that profits will also improve as the market appreciates our efforts. Our goal is to reestablish Piestany as one of the leading health spas in the whole of Europe and we ask the Council to join us on this journey. This will benefit not just the City and SLKP, but also the citizens of Piestany, many of whom work for our company.
CP Holdings/Danubius Group.”
