On November 23-25 a Belarusian delegation will take part in the Economic Forum of the Central European Initiative (CEI) in Bratislava (Slovakia) and the CEI Summit of Heads of Government in Piestany, BelTA has been told in the foreign ministry’s press service.
Deputy prime minister Andrei Kobyakov is expected to head the Belarusian delegation which will comprise deputy ministers of foreign affairs and economy, chairman of the Belarusian camber of commerce and industry, representatives of the free economic zones and companies of the country.
According to the foreign ministry, the economic forum will highlight the structural reforms to improve business climate, new strategies to raise competitiveness especially in power engineering, infrastructure and human resources. The schedule envisages a “round table” of economy ministers, presentation of investment projects, Belarusian as well.
The head of the Belarusian delegation is set to speak at the summit and round table sitting, too hold working meetings with heads of the official delegations of the member-states, representatives of Slovakia business. Participation of the Belarusian delegation in these events is seen to stimulate cooperation between Belarus and the CEI member-states, the foreign ministry noted.
