Mud bath

Piestany Spa's mud bath has a uniqueness and beauty which separates it from other world renown mud baths. Prepared with a natural bed made from a 10 - 30 cm layer of original Piešťany sulphuric mud and a water layer reaching approximately 50 – 90 cm above the sulphuric mud. The temperature of the mineral water varies from 39°to 40°C, sometimes reaching locally higher levels in places above the springs. Guests in the mud pool stand, slowly walk or sit on the edge of the pool. The duration of the bath is strictly individual, on average it lasts 5 - 10 minutes.

The treatment ends with a shower and up to 15-min dry wrap. The doctor on duty can prescribe a combination of this treatment with a bath in the „mirror pool" and a follow up classical massage.
