Bulgarian tsar Ferdinand I. from the family Coburgs was a frequent visitor of spas and during his stay in 1917 he established here his wartime general staff as well. German emperor Wilhelm II came for consultation and advice on the future leadership of World War I and the last Austrian emperor Karol I. 
World-famous actresses Lillian Gish, Henny Porten, Diana Napier, Swedish writer, Noble Prize winner for literature Selma Lagerlöff, distinguished politicians Edvard Beneš, Vavro Šrobár, Jan Masaryk, famous Czech actor and comedian and entertainer Vlasta Burian, young Austrian composer Johann Strauss jr., German singer Richard Tauber, English historian Robert Seaton-Watson, Sir Henry Davis, founder of tennis competition Davis Cup, Czech journalist Jaroslav Hašek, famous Russian opera singer Fjodor I. Šaljapin. It is said that even Ludwig van Beethoven looked for his inspiration in the picturesque environment of Bacchus Villa. 

Moreover nowadays Spa Piešťany is visited by presidents, prime ministers, ministers of European government and well-known personalities – actresses Claudia Cardinale, Norwegian Mia Gundersen, model Claudia Schiffer, athletes such as David Coulthard or Jaromír Jágr have used our unique procedures. Many Slovak personalities have made use of our facilities including: Mária Kráľovičová, Emília Vášaryová, Zdena Studenková, Miro Procházka, Milan Lasica, Ivan Letko, Boris Filan, Katarína Kolníková, Stanislav Štepka, Peter Dvorský and many others.
